Quotage...
"The Eclectic Collective is a high-energy band that combines the smooth styles of R&B and soul with the aggression and excitement of hard rock. The EC (as they are known to their fans). In 2005, they won the Northeastern University (MA) Battle of the Bands, solidifying a slot in the 2005 New England Music Organization (NEMO) showcase in Boston. They have played all over the Northeast, gaining new fans and earning praise wherever they play."

"Hailing from Boston, the Eclectic Collective is a 9 piece posse of R&B, soul, hip-hop and indie rock maestros with a wide-ranging sound that reflects the band's cultural diversity and funnels it into one unified ethos of dope."
"Simply put, their set was amazing. The songs (especially "Pavement") featured all types of sharp rhythmic breakdowns, as they shifted time signatures, tempos, and styles. Often, they would build fantastic sonic tension through verse after verse, only to release it later on with a slick, melodic chorus. Eclectics frontman was an engaging stage presence, scaling his vocal style from smooth, pouting falsetto to raging off-the-tongue prose. Their set culminated in an all-out impromptu freestyle battle - I think there were five emcees on the stage at one point. Egos were bruised. Beers were spilled. The Red Sox took the lead. The was the coolest thing I've ever seen at McPhail's."
